Pakistan Railways has unveiled the calendar of five special trains that will operate during Eid Ul-Fitr to meet increased travel demand.
The special trains, designed to facilitate passengers during the holiday season, take place on several major routes. According to the official announcement, Eid-Ul-Fitr Train Schedule 2025:
Special trains will offer a range of classes, including economics, AC affairs and AC standard, to meet the various needs of passengers.
The Pakistan railway seat has expressed detailed instructions to all division officers concerning the operations of the Eid train, guaranteeing smooth travel arrangements for the holiday season.
On the other hand, the federal government announced on Wednesday public holidays for Eidul Fitr, from March 31 to April 2.
A notification issued by the cabinet secretariat said the Prime Minister said these dates as public holidays to celebrate Eidul Fitr.
The vacation period will extend from Monday to Wednesday, allowing citizens to observe the festivities and celebrate the opportunity.
Meanwhile, the Central Committee of Rue-E-Hilal, as well as the zonal committees, will meet on Sunday evening March 30, 2025 (Ramazan 29, 1446 Ah), to see the Moon Shawwal, marking the potential end of the sacred month of Ramadan and the start of the celebrations of the Eid UL-FITR in Pakistan.
The meeting will take place at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interconfessional Harmony, where religious scholars, meteorological experts and other stakeholders will meet to examine the observation reports of the moon in the whole country.
This session will determine the exact date for Eidul Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, the most sacred month of the Islamic calendar.
