The president of PML-N Nawaz Sharif was advised to go to Saudi Arabia given his state of health.
The former Prime Minister had to spend the last ten days of the sacred month of Ramazan to Mecca and Madinah, according to his longtime habit.
Sources of the ruling party said that the doctors in Nawaz were of the opinion that he should not take a plane trip.
They said that the PML-N president’s personal doctor, Dr. Adnan, had carried out his daily exam. Nawaz was also advisable to install a cardiac stimulator, they added.
Nawaz Sharif, who returned to the country in October 2023 after a four-year-old self-imposed extinguis, was diagnosed with a state of debilitating health while he was in prison for a sentence of seven years in October 2019.
The federal government led by the PTI then gave it a rare permission to obtain medical treatment in London. Upon his return to the country, the High Court of Islamabad (IHC) exempted President PML-N from corruption accusations.
Nawaz, however, chose not to introduce himself for the first time for the fourth time after his party did not obtain a simple majority in the National Assembly in the general elections.
