I patiently expected that the new suction technology to make its way in cylinder vacuum cleaners, and Miele finally delivered

  • Miele launched Guard L1 Comfort XL Cylinder Vaim
  • Includes a companion application, an LDC screen and automatic soil detection
  • Now available in the United Kingdom and Ireland, RRP £ 499

Miele has launched a new cylinder vacuum cleaner which has a range of advanced features for a more efficient and low effort cleaning routine. The Guard L1 Comfort XL Vacuum has Wi -Fi integration, a complementary application and automatic soil detection – all the features that appear on the best wireless stick vacuums today, but (so far), nowhere else.

The LCD screen – as you would find on one of the best Dyson gaps on the market – provides a useful way to transmit information at a glance. This will tell you what percentage is the dust bag, so you don’t have to worry about filling it too much and you can make sure you are prepared with spare parts before you need it. He will also tell you when the exhaust filter must be replaced and provide warning notifications – for example, if there is a blockage that needs attention.

You can also access this information via a companion application. I don’t know if you must Ask the companion application downloaded to use this machine effectively, but I hope not.

Another useful characteristic carried (rather late) from wireless stick vacuum is the automatic suction adjustment. The Miele Guard L1 can say what type of floor it is and change the suction level in response. So it will speed up to pull the dust from your carpet fibers, but go into lower power mode for hard floors, where dust is just on the surface.
