Islamabad:
Pakistan and the United Kingdom discussed Thursday to adopt a joint strategy against terrorism.
In recent weeks, the country has faced an increase in terrorism, ranging from suicide attacks and targeted assassinations to complex attacks on military and mosques.
To solve the problem and build a joint story, the National Security Parliamentary Committee (PCN) met on Monday and stressed the urgent need to implement anti -terrorist executives – the National Action Plan (NAP) and the AZM -I – -ISHKAM vision – to curb terrorism.
With this, the advisor to the Prime Minister of Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan held an important meeting with the British High Commissioner Jane Marriott.
The two dignitaries discussed the increase in cooperation in terms of security and the taking of collaborative measures to ensure regional peace and stability and agreed to strengthen the sharing of information and operational cooperation in the efforts to combat terrorism.
They also discussed means of strengthening economic partnerships, improving trade relations and exploring new ways of mutual cooperation between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
During the meeting, Sanaullah, which also holds the portfolio of the Ministry of Interpreting Coordination (IPC), reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expand bilateral links with the United Kingdom, a press release said.
In addition, cultural exchanges and the promotion of links from people to people have been discussed to further strengthen relations between the two nations.
Sanaullah stressed that the Government of Pakistan is committed to deepening cooperation with the United Kingdom in all sectors and will take all the necessary measures to achieve this objective.
