Armaghan Qureshi, the first suspect in the Mustafa Amir Murder case, denied admitting the crime, telling a court that the police tried to force him a statement.
Armaghan was produced in front of a magistrate by Karachi police on Saturday, Express News reported.
In court, he refused to admit guilt and said that the authorities were pressure to make a confession.
“Police are trying to make me a statement under constraint,” he said in court.
Earlier, the co-accused Shiraz Aka Shavez Bukhari also refused to confess during his own appearance in front of the magistrate.
The two suspects are under investigation as part of the murder of Mustafa Amir, a case that has attracted public attention and the media in recent weeks.
The police have not yet commented on the allegations of coercion, and the case remains under judicial supervision while the investigators continue to collect evidence.
The court has not yet determined whether confessional declarations provided previously are eligible under current complaints.
Last week, the police submitted an accusation charge before the court of the judicial magistrate (South) concerning a case against the accused Armughan for having threatened a lawyer, representing the plaintiff in the affairs deposited against him.
According to the accusation sheet submitted by the police, Armaghan confessed his crime. The report indicates that lawyer Saif Jatoi represented the applicant in the affairs registered against Armughan in the police stations of Gizri and Darakhshan.
Armughan had abused the lawyer and his family on WhatsApp in April 2024. He also threatened them to use the army to choose them at home.
A case was recorded against the accused at the Boat Basin police station. Challan was submitted for the non-stop of the accused. On February 17, police obtained permission from ATC Clifton to question Armughan. During the prison interrogation, the accused confessed his crime.

According to the details of the case, Armaghan led a call center in a bungalow in the Khayaban-E-Momin region of La Défense, where 30 to 40 boys and girls worked, as well as 30 to 35 security guards stationed in the premises. The bungalow illegally housed three lions.
The interrogation report has also highlighted Armaghan’s participation in the business and drug use. Before the murder of Mustafa, Armaghan, with his friend Shiraz, planned to burn Mustafa’s car and had already intended to harm him.
The report revealed that in 2019, Armaghan was involved in a case concerning the importation of drugs, but he had obtained a deposit in this case.
According to the investigation, Armaghan himself was a drug addict. The day before the New Year, Armaghan organized a party at the bungalow, where Shiraz was also present until 3 am. However, Mustafa did not attend the party.
The next day, Armaghan and Mustafa had a personal dispute, which transformed a violent confrontation. On January 6, Armaghan invited Shiraz to the bungalow to consume drugs together, and Mustafa arrived around 9 p.m. During this meeting, Armaghan attacked Mustafa with an iron rod.
Armaghan and Shiraz stripped Mustafa with his clothes, linked his hands and feet with a white leaf and dragged her on the stairs.
Mustafa’s car was parked in the car park of the bungalow, and they placed his body in the trunk of the car, after which they took him to Hub.
The report details more than Armaghan asked two employees to clean blood spots in the room. Armaghan also took clothing, mobile phones and Mustafa Internet devices. When they couldn’t find fuel in the car, Armaghan took a fuel box from the bungalow. The report explains that Armaghan threw Mustafa’s mobile phone and other personal effects on the way.
They arrived at Hub around 4:30 am, poured gas on the car and set it on fire. Armaghan and Shiraz then went to a hotel for breakfast. An employee of the hotel noticed a weapon and the two men fled the premises. After walking for several hours and hitch, they returned to Karachi.
