Pitino put the player of the year Big East of the year RJ Luis Jr. at the end of the second half. Luis collected nine points and seven rebounds but only drew 3-17 on the ground.
Zuby Ejiofor was the only player to pull well for St. John’s, marking 23 points out of 7 of the 12 shots, while transporting 12 rebounds. The only other two -digit player for St. John’s was Deivon Smith with 13.

For the Arkansas, three players scored two figures in the upset victory. Billy Richmond III scored 16 points and caught nine rebounds, while Karter Knox and Johll Davis had 15 and 13 points respectively.
As a team, the Arkansas pulled better than St. John’s, but also fought on 3 -point land. The Razorbacks pulled 42.9% in the field but 2-19 from the 3-point beach.
