Lahore:
The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced another increase in road tax rates for national highways, motorways and highways, marking the second increase this year. The revised prices will take effect on April 1.
According to the latest notification, RS70 will now be invoiced for cars, RS150 for wagons, RS250 for buses, RS300 for trucks at two and three points and RS550 for large articulated trucks. The toll levels on the main highways, including the M1, M3, M4, M5, M14 and E-35 motorway, were also revised.
For the M1 motorway which links Islamabad and Peshawar, the toll for cars has gone from RS500 to Rs550. On the M3 road – from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem – The tax has gone from RS700 to Rs800.
The toll for cars traveling on the M4 motorway – from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad and Multan – went from RS950 to RS1,050.
For the M5 route – between Multan and Sukkur, the toll went from Rs1,100 to Rs1,200. Motorists on the M14 motorway from Dera Ismail Khan in Hakla will now pay RS650, against RS600.
The toll tax on the Hassan Abdal-Havelian-Mansehra motorway (E-35) has gone from RS250 to RS300 for engine cars, with larger vehicles having also increased charges on all highways and motorways.
