- Apple should unveil three new Apple Watch models in 2025
- A new report says that the plastic overhaul of SE 3 has put the budgetary model in “serious danger”
- The Ultra 3 and series 11 blood pressure monitoring function would also cause problems
Apple should unveil three new Apple watches in September 2025, but a new report indicates that the three are faced with design and development challenges before launch.
The titles of the next three best Apple Watch candidates of the company include a new blood pressure monitoring system for the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and the Apple Watch Series 11, and an important design overhaul for the Apple Watch SE budget.
According to Mark Gurman de Bloomberg, writing in his last power on the newsletter, Apple “continues to encounter problems” by testing the blood pressure monitoring function on the other two premium models.
He also says that the passage provided to a cheaper plastic case has put the overhaul of Apple Watch Se 3 in “Series Jeopardy”.
According to Gurman, Apple’s design team “does not like the look” of cheaper equipment, and the operations team “is struggling to make the case materially cheaper than the current aluminum chassis”.
Apple Watch 2025 rackets
These rumors will undoubtedly be a cause of concern for Apple, which must provide a Stellar 2025 Apple Watch range to compensate for a fairly disappointing 2024 which has provided only one iterative series 10, no Ultra 3 upgrade and Watchos 11 limited changes.
There are good news, however, because Gurman seems to indicate that the functionality of rumors satellite texts for ultra 3 is on the right track, as is the upgrade of 5G capacity reduced, which will give users a cellular connectivity boost when using their device without their iPhone.
However, features, including blood pressure monitoring, were to be a huge argument for the sale of the most expensive models. If Apple cannot deliver this, serious questions will be asked in Cupertino.
In addition, there will be fewer reasons for fans to go from series 10 or even older models. A recent report (although summary) said that Apple Watch’s expeditions decreased in 2024, which has shrunk the Smartwatch market as a whole for the first time in history. This makes the success of this year’s models all the more important.
Gurman does not specify what are the problems, but that could indicate problems with the precision of blood pressure data, battery discharge, false positives or several other things.
Apple can take a little comfort in the fact that it could be able to send the equipment on board the series 11 and Ultra 3, allowing blood pressure monitoring on a later date, but this result would be a second for the company compared to the supply of the functionality to the launch.
If a company can run the problems, it’s Apple, but the planned launch of its new watches – alongside the iPhone 17 – is less than six months old, which means that it must develop and prototyper the case much earlier than that.
The Apple Watch Se 3 hiccups is another story. I am personally less enthusiastic about the passage of plastic rumors, so if Apple does not like the appearance of this material, and that it will not be less expensive than aluminum, why not stay with the higher material anyway?
It remains to be seen if Apple can overcome one of these setbacks. We will not know with certainty before the launch of watches, but expect more updates on this story when approaching September.
