Prince William left Mary Berry in tears with her emotional message to her 90th anniversary.
The Prince of Wales sent a special message to the old Bake Justice Mary Berry, wishing her a very happy birthday and calling her “real national treasure”.
According to a report by MirrorDame Mary reaches the start of stage today, and her “life and extraordinary career” is celebrated during a special episode of The BBC is The One Show.
Prince William’s message was played on Scott Mills’ BBC Radio 2 Breakfast show.
The future king says: “Hi Mary. I want to wish you a very happy 90th anniversary. You are a real national treasure and we loved working with you over the years. Spending a fantastic day today.”
He continued: “I dread to think who cooks your cake and the criticism they could get, but good luck and I hope it goes very well.”
Prince William’s message would have left Lady Mary in tears.
According to the Bbc,, A show Animator Alex Jones said BBC Radio 2: “We have had a lot of messages throughout the program for Mary – but one in particular breathed her. I mean, there were tears even before we started.”
