Kathy Bates benefits from Matlock’s success and the fact that work is much easier after a weight loss of 100 lb.
During a recent projection of Matlock, Kathy said People: “When I was so heavy in Harry’s law, I had to sit between each catch, and it was horrible,” said the Oscars winner about the 2011 show.
“I’m ashamed to have crossed me, to be honest,” she said.
“But now that I have been able to be healthy, I can move, I can breathe, I can have fun, I’m not sore,” she added.
“I get tired and I realize that I am like an old lady, but even children get tired. But it was a magnificent experience,” she shared.
Playing on occasion, the star of misery said that she “did not expect to get her at my age, at the end of my career”, and noted that Matlock’s success “pinched” he herself.
She also noted that the show comes at the right time for her health.
“Physically, I am able to make this show,” she said.
“I don’t have to sit down. I can stand up all day and walk and move and breathe and do so much that I couldn’t before, “said Kathy Bates.
