Sindh governor Kamran Khan Tessori adopted a firm position on the notorious of the Karachi dumper on Tuesday, declaring that if the Dig Karachi is given for a week and a single accident linked to the Dumper occurs, he will resign from his post.
Addressing a public rally in Hyderabad, Governor Kamran Tessori discussed various urgent problems and announced initiatives aimed at the development of the city.
He criticized the situation in Karachi, saying, “The public was misleading, and now this waste crushes our own children.”
Tessori also claimed that if the mayor of Karachi was placed under his supervision, the old roads of the city could be restored immediately.
The governor also suggested that Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) should completely merge with the Muttahida Qaumi (MQM) movement to provide greater political stability in the Sindh.
By thinking about IT education in Hyderabad, he deplored the delay in the end of the courses. “We carried out tests months ago, but five months have passed and the lessons remain incomplete. If I reveal the real reason, the Hyderabad set will go on the street,” he said, adding that he was patience.
Tessori has highlighted the social protection activities taking place at the Governor’s house in Karachi, including daily dinners from Iftar during Ramadan, where articles such as plots, motorcycles and OMRA tickets are distributed. He also shared that more than a million ration bags and more than 12,000 laptops have been distributed so far, “without taking a single top”.
He thanked the inhabitants of Hyderabad for their warm welcome, qualifying their hospitality as a “historic” and added: “If the police harass you unnecessarily, simply say that the governor is your brother – he will raise your respect.”
Speaking of imminent challenges, Tessori warned that certain forces wanted Sindh’s people to remain weak so that they can “take over”. “Half of the takeover has already occurred-has not the municipal administration already been seized?” He asked.
He concluded his speech by urging the inhabitants of Hyderabad to remain united and resilient, saying: “More difficult moments arrive, but together, we will face it.”
