Islamabad:
The capital Development Authority (CDA) launched a major operation on Monday, sealing several illegal brands and commercial structures in various fields of the federal capital.
This measure was taken under the directives of the president of the ADC as part of a broader campaign to eliminate the encroachments and unauthorized constructions in Islamabad.
Teams from the Directorate General for Construction and Housing Control, as well as the Application Department, carried out the operation in zones IV and V, targeting the structures that violated the construction regulations. The application campaign was carried out under the regulation on the control of buildings 2020 (modified in 2023) to guarantee membership of the laws on the development of the city.
Among the sealed structures were: Land injuries (Thanda Pani, Lehtrar Road) – SCELLÉ (found operational), LAGIESA (Islamabad Expressway).
The ADC had previously published 15 -day opinions, followed by the notices of justification of 7 days to the owners of these structures, by ordering them to regularize their buildings or clear pending contributions. However, due to non-compliance, the authority continued sealing and demolition actions.
A spokesperson reiterated the commitment of the authority to maintain the urban development provided for in Islamabad.
