Russia’s ambassador to Pakistan, Albert P. Khorev, rejected the media reports alleging that Russia has found proof of Pakistan providing weapons to Ukraine.
Speaking during a special interaction with the Peshawar office of L’Express PK Press Club, Khorev said: “We have found no evidence of Pakistani weapons supplies in the Ukrainian-Russia conflict. All these complaints are baseless. ”
Regarding regional security, Khorev has recognized that Afghanistan’s efforts to fight militancy were inadequate but attributed this to economic challenges and dominant security conditions in the country.
He identified the Islamic State as the greatest threat to the national and regional security of Russia, declaring that Moscow closely monitors the situation and works with regional partners in the “Quartet” format to fight terrorism.
Khorev also underlined the collaboration of Russia with the regional countries of the Organization of Collective Security Treaties (CSTO) to eliminate activism. He reaffirmed Moscow’s support in Pakistan, Afghanistan and other regional states to combat militant threats.
