- Zotac has increased prices with RTX 5090 models on its American online store
- Two of them, whose high -end card, now cost $ 500 more
- This follows similar movements from Asus and MSI with the Blackwell lighthouse in their own online stores
Zotac is the latest third -party graphics card manufacturer which currently seems to inflate the price of the flagship GPU of Blackwell from Nvidia.
Videocardz noticed a Reddit article (see below) which reported this in the Zotac store in the United States, its RTX 5090 models have become much more expensive-and these GPUs are certainly nowhere near the official PDSF.
Zotac 5090 AMP Extreme is now $ 3000 and the 5090 Solid OC is now $ 2,700 on R / NVIDIA
As you can see, the Zotac RTX 5090 Extreme amplifier now tips the scales to a $ 3,000 portfolio model, and even the Solid RTX 5090 OC model is a $ 2,700 drain of $ 2700.
This represents a new increase of $ 500 on the price in the case of two graphics cards, according to information disclosed on Reddit here.
Zotac is one of the advice manufacturers that sells their products directly from their own online store, Asus and MSI also being in this club. Unfortunately, these three companies have increased prices, in particular with the RTX 5090 (which the Asus recently inflated by a large amount, so its high -end GPU is even more expensive than the Zotac Extreme Zotac amp).
Analysis: Hiking pain
You might say that the price will always be linked to supply and demand, and if it is not clear enough now, GPU Blackwell has so far been quite terrible, and demand has exceeded well. Even the demand for the expensive RTX 5090, the flagship being struck by some of the most ridiculous price increases that we have seen so far in this new generation of Nvidia graphics cards.
Other arguments, as Videocardz points out, can also be stacked here, such as the graceful import prices of Trump. But finally, what we see with the RTX 5090 price really goes beyond the pale.
In this case, Solid OC of Zotac is technically the entry -level RTX 5090 (it is actually a step, being the overclocking version, although it only has a very modest overclock applied – and apparently, the basic version is no longer listed on the American store, anyway). The solid OC should really not be much above the NVIDIA PDSF, which is $ 1,999 (the price of the founding edition), but this GPU is now a huge 35% more expensive.
(I have to clearly indicate that the Zotac store in the United States is broken down right now, as I write this, for the maintenance apparently.
In any case, the other argument I have seen is: Well, the RTX 5090 models are all out of stock anyway, so who cares about the price – it’s a bit of relevant. And although it is certainly true, it is a short -term vision and rather short -see as such. When the inventory begins to filter, this price in charge is (probably) still apply (for a certain time, until supply and demand correct more).
What is unfortunate is that a robust increase in the RTX 5090 stock should occur towards the end of March, where we are sitting now, and there is no sign of such an increase in supply. What’s going on with that? The rumor may have been simple, or perhaps Nvidia has rejected its flea allocation, and remains too concerned about sales of heavy goods vehicles (which use the same GB202 chip as RTX 5090).
Meanwhile, there are stories on Reddit of waiting lists for pre -ordered RTX 5090 graphics cards which are so long, those which have already put their money are likely to wait at least three additional months for the GPU to be shipped.
It’s a bit of a nightmare, frankly, and with the AMD Stock RX 9070 also disappearing upon its arrival in stores, even if the supply of Team Red is a good deal better than the Blackwell graphics cards from Nvidia, it is always a delicate situation for potential buyers. And that’s exactly why a good number of PC players (including me) are fed up with the situation and resigned themselves to a strategy to simply wait for this stock of stock and price for the predictable.
