- Sony headphones to replace the Budget-Belter WF-C700N launched
- The new WF-C710N buds provide the carrier detection and an improved battery life
- … Oh, and a superb transparent “glass blue” transparent color
It is unlikely that you have missed the excellent Sony WF-C700N headphones. They sat on the list of the best budgetary headphones in Techradar for more than a year after their release in April 2023, until the ear (A) was swept in 13 months later and after many deliberations – including a feature of nothing (A) compared to the WF -C700N function of Sony WF -C700N – We agreed that Nothing Option should not take their place.
But to date, there is a new Sony Kid in town: Sony WF-C710N-therefore, uh, 10 more than the older model (it is difficult to understand the nicknames of Sony; I find the best to nod, as we did with the Sony WF-C510 cheap and very good but-denoid of the order, and to pass). The fact is that they are there to replace the Sony WF-C700N, and that “N” definitively means “noise cancellation”.
Before entering the specifications, let’s talk about this brand new “blue glass” color in addition to black, white and pink finishes. It is transparent like sea glass and for all those who remember anything working on the point of its stems and housing for drivers, it seems so effortless …
Sony WF-C710N specifications and features
So what are the upgrades? First of all, endurance: without old deployed, Sony tells me that you can expect a lifespan of the total battery of 40 hours, or at 12 hours of buds and 28 others compared to the case. With the noise committee, it is 8.5 hours and 21.5 hours in the case, or a 30-hour battery before needing a USB-C charger. This is a huge step compared to the 20 hours without anc (or 15 with it) the total battery life that you will get from the outgoing model.
Then, there is a new Sony companion application called “Sound Connect” which, in addition to the EQ tab with five bands of Sony, adds a functionality entitled “Find My Equalizer”. This plays various songs for you and asks you to choose a favorite of five EQ presets, to create a personalized profile set to your ears.
Wearers’ detection is also on the list of new ones for WF-C710N, which we really wanted to see in the Sony WF-C710N, as it means that they will arouse the audio when you delete one and take it back when you put it back in your ear.
Elsewhere, tactile tactile controls are back, including volume adjustments, reading, access to profiles to give up noise, hands -free or Siri invocation and fast attention, which means that by covering a earpiece, reading is cut and your microphones are amplified to better hear the person who disturbed you at your office. (It’s a great functionality. I love it, really …)
On these microphones, you now get two by bud with a new “double noise sensor technology” improved to choose and amplify your voice while nixing a foreign noise in calls. Said microphones also have a special wind reduction of wind noise. There are also several points with two aircraft, the control of adaptive sound for the ANC, the Sony 360 reality audio solution (but remember, Tidal unfortunately no longer takes the format) and Dsee Upscaler from Sony to reality.
The 5 mm pilot unit seems unchanged, however, and although there is a Bluetooth 5.3 chipset, at launch, the WF -C710N will not support audio emissions Auracast at airports and dental surgeries – when they arrive. There is also no high resolution LDAC support (your codec support here is limited to SBC and AAC) and your selection of ear tips is limited to only three sizes (small, medium and large), however, I found their elder brothers and sisters, some of the best goals for smaller ears, I am not particularly worried about the size of the driver’s size and the dimensions of the listening here, I am not particularly worried about the fit.
Price? Certainly. The Sony WF-C710N Sony headphones are at the price of £ 100 or € 120 (so only £ 1 more than WF-C700N) in the United Kingdom and Europe, $ 119.99 in the United States and $ 189.95 in Australia.
How good are they and should you rush and buy a set? I work on a complete criticism, and I will let you know soon …
