NBA News: Damian Lillard diagnosed a blood clot

With about a month until the start of the NBA qualifiers, the Milwaukee Bucks have obtained news of news concerning one of their star players.

The Bucks have provided the update on the status of seven times All-Nba Guard without offering a target date for its potential return. Lillard has missed the last three Bucks competitions and has already been excluded for their Wednesday match in Denver.

“Damian’s health is our priority No. 1,” said Bucks Managing Director Jon Horst in a statement. “We will support him while that he moves in this weekly process of strict criteria to ensure that he is sure for him to come back to play. The doctors have indicated that it is very unlikely that his situation will happen again. We are grateful that this has been identified and medication quickly, which helps recovery.”

Lillard has taken medication against blood, which stabilized the blood clot, noted ESPN.

Unfortunately for bucks, they can have a kind of allusion on the time that Lillard will miss. The superstar of the San Antonio Spurs Victor Wembanyama was diagnosed with a blood clot in his shoulder last month, and the Spurs quickly excluded it for the rest of the season.

It should be noted that San Antonio did not fight exactly for a place in the playoffs when the diagnosis of Wembanyama came. Milwaukee is currently the fifth seed of the Eastern Conference. Bucks and division companions in Pacers and Pistons are all at 2.5 games from each other in the ranking, Indiana the four seeds and Detroit seated in sixth.

Lillard is in his second season in Milwaukee after spending his first 11 seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers. He has an average of 24.9 points and 7.1 assists per game, to the height of his career statistics.
