Senator of the Pennsylvania Democratic State, Lindsey Williams, gave controversial testimony to the State Capitol on Wednesday while opposing a bill which would prohibit the trans athletes of Girls Sports.
Williams, in the remarks prepared before the vote of the Committee on the Save Women’s Sports Act, suggested that female athletes are physically comparable to male athletes and do not face biological drawbacks.
“I want all girls to know that there are elected officials like me who believe that female bodies are just as strong and fast and capable that male bodies,” said Williams.
“I want all girls to know that there are elected officials like me who would never underestimate your ability to beat a boy in their own sport, because this is what the premise of this bill supposes, that female bodies are less than male bodies, than girls do it every day.”
