Former UFC star Cain Velasquez was sentenced to five years in prison on Monday after pleading any competitions during the shooting in 2022 of a man he allegedly assaulted by his son.
Velasquez was arrested in February 2022 for attempted murder and multiple accusations of firearms after the police said they fired the man who, according to him, sexually assaulted his 4 -year -old son. The man was then identified as Harry Goularte.
The prosecutors said Velasquez had continued a van carrying man over 11 miles in the lively streets of the San Jose region, the authorities said.

Velasquez will receive a credit for 1,283 days purged in prison, which amounts to about three years, according to in Ktvu. There is a year and a half left in his sentence.
However, one of his former UFC colleagues, Luke Rockhold, wants this number to shrink with the help of President Donald Trump.
“I think it comes down to the fact that this whole system is false. He has made his time. He proved that he was not a threat to society. He did countless things. I did it in children’s hospitals to visit children and see the joy he brings people. He is the least threat to anyone in this world,” Rockhold told Tmz Sports this week.

“If there was a moment for President Trump to intervene and serve a real forgiveness that makes sense in the world … Our situation is somewhat justified.
“Cain is one of the nicest, the sweetest – until you hit Cain in the face, until you are wrong, he will never do anything wrong. He is a big teddy bear, what can I say?”
The former champion did not argue any competition for criminal assaults and accusations of firearms as part of a negotiated agreement with the office of the County Prosecutor of Santa Clara, said district prosecutor Jeff Rosen in August. Accusations of premeditated murder against Velasquez were abandoned in the context of the agreement.
Velasquez won his first UFC heavyweight championship In 2012 by beating the junior Dos Santos. Velasquez successfully defended its title twice.
