THE Malcolm in the middle Revival continues to come together in Disney +, with more new members of the announced distribution.
The arc of four episodes comes from the creator of an original Linwood Boomer show and will resume with Malcolm and the rest of the family in about twenty years since their last appearance on our screens.
For uninitiated, Malcolm in the middlewhich originally took place for seven seasons – 151 episodes – on Fox in the United States from 2000 to 2006, followed the child Prodigy Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) and his often dysfunctional working class, always loving, including parents (Jane Kaczmarek) and Hal (Bryan Cranston). While the family was falling after the other, Malcolm often broke the fourth wall to ensure that the sarcastic public.
The new mini-season sees “Malcolm and his daughter attracted to family chaos when Hal and Laws demand her presence for their 40th wedding anniversary.” It looks like a perfect hook for a short but hopeless, go back to the universe of Malcolm, especially since the heart of the original show was the relationship of the holder character with Hal who has been suffering from Cranston for a long time, it will therefore be interesting to see the character of Muniz in the reverse of this dynamic, struggling with paternity himself.
Who goes to Malcolm in the middle?
From the original distribution, Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek have been confirmed to return to their respective roles when the renewal has been announced, and Variety has now confirmed that more familiar faces will join the actors with Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield who will become their roles as older brothers in Malcolm Francis and Reais.
However, the young brothers and sisters of Malcolm, Dewey and Jamie, were overhauled with Caleb Ellsworth-Clark and Anthony Timpano occupying the roles. None of the two replacements comes as a huge surprise, the spirit, with the original Dewey star Erik by Sullivan having stopped acting after the conclusion of the show, and Jamie – introduced in the four season – always a young child at the end of the show.
Meanwhile, the renewal will present a fifth brother for Malcolm to assert with confirmation that the post-series, Laws and Hal finally gave birth to a girl, Kelly, played in the new episodes of Vaughn Murrae. Additional casting news sees Keeley Karsten playing the role of Malcolm’s daughter, Leah, while Kiana Madeira will play her girlfriend, Tristan.
