New York Yankees receiver Austin Wells engraved in history books in the team’s opening match against Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday at Yankee Stadium.
Wells, 25, had already marked the story during the day, when he became the first recipient to have managed to beat in the regular season in the history of the Yankees.
During his first At-Bat, Wells marked a new story. The young receiver became the first recipient with a home run on the day of opening in the history of the MLB, according to ESPN.

Wells was in Count 2-0 against the launcher starting from Brewers Freddy Peralta. In the counting of the strikers, Wells took a tear in a 2-0 quick ball, and he placed it in the first row of the right field in the Yankee stadium.
The solo circuit of Wells gave the Yankees an immediate advance of 1-0 at the bottom of the first round.
Last season, Wells finished third in the recruit race of the American year of the year, behind the Baltimore Orioles Colton Cowser Baltimore and his teammate leaving the Luis Gil launcher who won the prize.

Wells rebounded after starting the year slowly, but ended up with an average of .229 and 13 circuits to accompany a strong defense behind marble in 2024.
With the loss of Juan Soto at the New York Mets in a free agency and the designated striker Giancarlo Steon starting the season on the injured list, the Yankees count on Wells to be a major contributor.
