Yankees opening day: fans disturbed on the singer of Anthem National

The fans of the New York Yankees seemed to have a difficult day at the stadium, and it started before the first throw and continued in the ninth round when the team tried to close a victory on the Brewers of Milwaukee during Thursday’s opening match.

Betsy Wolfe, Broadway actress and singer, was used to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the start of the match.

But Wolfe’s interpretation seemed to lift the eyebrows for bad reasons, because the fans quickly stressed that the native of California read the words of his phone.

The star of “Juliet” faced a backlash on social networks for having brought his phone out, with at least one fan imploring the Yankees on X to “do better”. But others have been impressed by his voice in general.

The hearts of the Yankees fans ran early when the Austin Wells receiver hit a home run to get on the set. He became the first recipient in the history of the MLB to strike a home run on the day of opening.

However, New York had trouble closing the door on the brewers.

The new Yankees closer Devin Williams allowed a simple Joey Ortiz and a double Isaac Collins to start the top of the ninth round. He then allowed a point to score but was able to eliminate Jackson Chourio and Christian Yelich to finish the match.

New York won, 4-2.

The two teams play again on Saturday at 1:05 p.m. HE.
