The PM leads a high -level meeting to strengthen the national narrative against terrorism

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a key meeting attended by the federal and provincial management to combat the continuous threat of terrorism in the country.

The meeting, held in the Chamber of the Prime Minister, included representatives of the four provinces, as well as the Azad Cashmere and the Gilgit-Baltistan, alongside military and civil leaders, Express News reported.

The meeting focused on the unveiling of the attackers responsible for the Jaffar Express assault and on the guarantee that all efforts are made to expose them to the international community.

In addition, participants agreed to effectively counter anti-national campaigns on traditional and digital media platforms.

A key decision taken during the session was to strengthen the national account of the National Action Plan (NAP), with a mandate for the National Narrative Committee to formulate a stronger and more active story to counter terrorism and extremism.

Management has also decided to prevent the spread of any material that undermines national security and unity. It has been agreed that there will be a concerted effort to prevent any content that harms the national interest, in particular in the form of disinformation or propaganda.

To hire young people, the government has decided to incorporate national subjects into films and television dramas that promote national account and extremist ideologies against extremists.

All the provinces have agreed to cooperate in this initiative, aimed at positively influencing the young generation.

In accordance with this, Reunion has resolved to ensure that digital media platforms are used to disseminate the national message, approach the negative social impacts of terrorism and counter false news, especially on social media.

In addition, Reunion highlighted the fight against Deepfake videos and other forms of content manufactured, offering the use of credible information in response.

Leadership has also decided to incorporate awareness of the problems related to terrorism in the national program to ensure that future generations are educated on the dangers of extremism.
