- Google Gemini is expected on wear wear of wear this year
- A Pixel Watch 2 user now claims to have spotted the icon on their device
- This could allude to new ways fueled by the AI to manage calls
We expect Google Gemini to replace Google Assistant on Wear Os at one point this year, and now it could appear in the Wild Wild for the very first time.
A Beebom Abubakar Mohammed report appears on a Google Pixel Watch 2 operating system, filled with a Google Gemini icon which could suggest that a deployment of AI is close.
“When I received a call earlier this morning, I glanced at my Pixel Watch 2 watch and I spotted a small Gemini icon in the phone application call screen,” said the report.
More specifically, the icon marks the three-point button where Watch Pixel Watch users would expect to find quick answers, a feature that allows you to quickly answer calls with SMS in case you could not answer at that time.
Beebom provided both images and screenshots of the functionality, which could indicate that Google Gemini for the wear operating system is very close, and could also give us the first clue to some of the features we can expect.
Porter OS Google Geminin Imminent launch?
As indicated, Gemini seems to be set to replace Google Assistant in the future, with code channels referring to Google AI on OS WEAR watches identified in January.
Based on our preliminary tests, this feature is not displayed on our other operating system devices, namely the OnePlus 3 watch. However, the Beebom notes that it appeared on the Pixel 2 watch connected to a ONPLUS 12R and Pixel 6, which could indicate that you will not need the best Android android watches to take advantage of it.
As for the function itself, the rapid responses fed by Gemini could allow more specific means to manage calls with a context more fueled by AI. For example, if Google Gemini can see that you are currently navigating an appointment on Google Maps, a quick response from AI may be able to give a more specific location or your ETA to the person calling you, directly from your wrist.
It could be a code quantity, so we do not know with certainty when Google Gemini comes to wear an operating system. But his inclusion seems to be a certainty at this stage. We contacted Google to comment and update this story with all the news.
