The new statements came in the midst of the reports that King Charles was forced to cancel his appointments for the rest of the day and Friday after having undergone “side effects” of his treatment against cancer.
Palace said in a statement: “After a planned medical treatment in progress for cancer this morning, the king experienced temporary side effects which required a short period of observation in the hospital.”
“His Majesty’s afternoon commitments were therefore postponed,” said the press release, saying that the 78-year-old British Head of State has since returned home to Clarence House.
