The name of Tyler O’Neill has become synonymous with circuits of the opening day of the MLB.
The outfall hit a three -point circuit during its beginnings at Baltimore Orioles on Thursday. O’Neill extended his Homering League record for a sixth consecutive opening day. O’Neill accomplished the feat in the third round of his native Canada while the Blue Jays in Toronto welcomed the Orioles at the Rogers Center.
Homer d’O’Neill led to his teammates Colton Cowser and Adley Rutschman. The great success also gave the Orioles an advance of 4-0 on the Blue Jays.

“When he hit it, I think everyone became crazy because it’s just an incredible feat,” said Rutschman. “It was so cool to see.”
O’Neill had three strokes and two walks during his five marble appearances. The left -wing defensive player scored three points and said it was significant to have a strong performance in front of his family and friends.

“Very special,” he said. “I have had a great day so far. Playing in Toronto is still special for me.”

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde qualified the opening sequence of the O’Neill opening day as “the spirit”, adding that he quickly learned to appreciate all that his new voltiseur brings to the clubhouse.
“Impressive personality,” said Hyde about O’Neill. “I love how hard he is. He’s a team guy.”
The O’Neill Home Run Run sequence started with St. Louis in 2020 and continued for four seasons, corresponding to a brand held by Todd Hundley (1994-1997), Gary Carter (1977-1980) and Yogi Berra (1955-58).

O’Neill took the only possession of the brand when he connected during his only opening day with the Boston Red Sox in 2024.
O’Neill arrived at the stadium on Thursday with two boxes of donuts from the popular Canadian chain Tim Hortons to share with his Baltimore teammates. He did the same during Toronto’s visit with the Red Sox last season.
Hyde said he would have no problem with O’Neill to repeat the delivery of donuts on Friday.
“Everything that works,” said Hyde. “Wear the same clothes. Whatever he did today, do it tomorrow.”
The Orioles finally opened the 2025 season by sailing to a 12-2 advance on the Blue Jays. Charlie Morton will take the launcher mound for Baltimore Friday evening for match 2 of the four game series. Kevin Gausman will start for Blue Jays.
