Update: Google finally contacted other comments on the late Pixel 9a, saying:
“Rumors and speculation concerning this delay are false. A passive component of Pixel 9a has not complied with our rigorous quality standards for the longevity of the devices and rather than sending it, we have made the difficult decision to delay the platform and take corrective measures on the small number of affected units.”
The Google Pixel 9a was announced in mid-March, but Google almost immediately delayed the sale of the phone, telling us that it would be available in April. We are finally born that Pixel 9a should appear on the shelves, and it will arrive in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada on April 10. Then, it will be sold in Europe on April 14, followed by Australia and Asia on April 16.
The new Pixel 9A will cost $ 499 / £ 499 / $ 849 at, and for this price, you get 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage. The phone will be available in four colors: black, black, white porcelain, peony pink and Iris lavender. I was able to spend thirty minutes with the new phone in a brief overview, and I hope to have a full exam on Techradar as soon as possible.

The Pixel 9a was mysteriously delayed and Google only said that there was a component problem with the phone. Recent rumors have suggested that the Pixel 9A could have had problems with the overheating of the camera. These rumors say that the problem will be solved with a software update, which corresponds to the short duration of this delay. Google has since completely denied that these rumors concerned the Pixel 9a, and you can read its full comment above.
If there had been a real material component which was to be replaced, we could have examined weeks or even months of waiting before the rays of the 9a pixel.
I have examined most of the best phones you can buy, and frankly, overheating cameras is a very common problem these days. I had overheating problems with my iPhone 16 Pro, Google Pixel 9 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra which required that the phones all stop during intense outdoor photo sessions. It is great that Google tackled this problem, and I hope that the Pixel 9a will not have the same problems as these flagship phones.
Of course, Google has not officially confirmed any specific reason for the delay, so we can only speculate. We hope to have a complete examination of the Pixel 9a on Techradar shortly, and we will certainly put the camera – and all the other components – thanks to in -depth tests to ensure that it can resist our intense expectations.
