A massive fire that broke out early Saturday morning near an oil refinery in the Karachi Karachi region continued to rage for more than 12 hours, according to rescue officials.

The fire broke out during a deep excavation on a site at 1,800 feet under the ground. Seven firefighters vehicles were deployed to tackle fire, but the authorities are still struggling to master it.

According to a press release from the Korangi police also confirmed that the fire had started during the drilling of groundwater in the Korangi stream region.

No victim has been reported so far, and workers from the excavation site, as well as the nearby residents, have been evacuated to security. However, the exact cause of the fire remains clear, the authorities always investigating the incident.

The EDHI Foundation, a major charity in Pakistan, confirmed that an ambulance and volunteers were on the scene, although no injury has been reported.
