- The foldable iPhone is based on aspect reports 4: 3
- This would correspond to iPads, ensuring the consistency of software and applications
- We do not expect the folding iPhone to launch before 2026
Foldable iPhone leaks arrive at a fairly regular pace, which makes us think that a real launch is getting closer – and the last rumor is that the internal and external screens of this device will use a 4: 3 appearance ratio.
This comes from a well -known digital cat station (via macrumors), and the thought is that the software interface will be consistent between the two screens, that you have the opening or closing of the device.
It is also the same aspect report used by Apple iPad, including the 7th generation iPad Air launched earlier this month. It is possible that the foldable iPhone really uses iPados, due to the main display of the size of a tablet.
According to Digital Chat Station (and Google Translate), the folding iPhone will have a software ecosystem “comparable” at the iPad, so draw your own conclusions. It should certainly be able to run applications designed for Apple tablets.
What we think we know so far
Earlier this month, we have heard that Apple favored the battery life on its next foldable iPhone, to ensure as much time as possible between loads, and that the device will use a liquid metal hinge to improve sustainability.
Other rumors have told us that the folding iPhone will be 9.2 mm thick when folded and 4.6 mm front and back when unfolded. It seems that the device will be a bit like two combined iPhone 16 assembled, with screens of 5.49 inch and 7.74 inches.
All this will not be cheap: a few weeks ago, we encountered a prediction that the iPhone fold (or what will be called) is likely to cost at least $ 2,300 (which represents about £ 1,775 or $ 3,650 in).
You have at least a little time to save: most people informed suggest that the foldable iPhone will be launched in 2026, when we could be up to the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 and the fourth foldable Google Pixel.
