A Washington State School Board has filed a complaint arising for an intervention by the federal government to force the State to ban the trans sports athletes.
The Kennewick School Board has filed a complaint with title IX to the civil rights office of the US Ministry of Education against the Superintendent of Public Instruction of the Washington State, Chris Reydkal, this week. The complaint includes a plea for an “urgent” federal intervention against the current policies of the state which challenge the recent decree of President Donald Trump “men away from female sports”.
“We respectfully ask for an urgent federal intervention due to open and flagrant violations of the title IX currently performing within the student athletics of the State as well as the school district policies required by the State which is in direct violation of the title IX,” said the complaint.

“We are particularly concerned by openly discriminatory policies and mandates from Washington’s state, the Superintendent of the Reykdal State, OSPI and WIAA not only harm our young women directly, but also compromise the essential federal funding of our district, whose loss would have the most impact on our most amortized and most at risk.”
The School Board is currently being taken in a conflict of guidelines, as the Trump administration has ordered all public schools to ban trans sports athletes or may lose federal funding, but the Washington State government has ordered schools to continue to allow trans inclusion.
“This restriction imposed by the State erodes confidence between schools and families and unreasonably breaks the precious fundamental law of parents to guide the development of their children,” continues the complaint.
“Our school board approached it by truly trying to find common ground between the mandate of the state and the fundamental role of the parents. We did so with slight modifications to the compulsory state policy which should not offend a reasonable person. Nevertheless, the OSPI has taken the position which sparked the super-state of the Chris law.
Reydkal previously said that it was “inaccurate” to say that there were only two sexes during a video address in late February.

There are children who are Born intersexated. There are children whose hormones and whose chromosomes do not comply with their sex at birth.
“Our state laws clearly indicate that children can identify themselves and participate according to the sex in which they identify. We will respect this law.”
Reykdal also insisted in this address that Trump does not have the authority as president to ban trans athletes in girls sports, but conceded the US Congress.
