Shaqir O’Neal, the son of the basketball renowned temple Shaquille O’Neal, made a big decision on his basketball future.
Shaqir leaves Florida A&M and enters the NCAA transfer portal, ON3 reported.
The junior striker collected an average of 6.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game during the 2024-25 season with the Rattlers.

If he transfers, O’Neal would end his career in Tallahassee after starting 17 of the 29 games.

It would not be the first time in O’Neal’s university basketball career, he changed schools. He was transferred to Florida A & M after a two -year -old passage to Texas Southern.

O’Neal appeared in 41 games during his time with the Tigers, starting in two games. It was listed as a recruit from the three -star high school, according to its biography on the Florida A&M athletics website.

Shaq won four NBA championships and was an all-star 15 times during his career. His other son, Shaereef, played at UCLA and LSU before a visit to the NBA G League.
In 2023, Shaq’s youngest child, Me’Arah O’Neal, signed his national letter of intention to play for the Gators of Florida. She made her debut with Florida during the 2024-25 season and recorded a career summit of 19 points in a match against Arkansas in February.
