Bangkok: Rescuers released a woman from the ruins of a Myanmar hotel, officials announced on Monday, a glow of hope three days after a massive earthquake that killed around 2,000 researchers in Myanmar and Thailand against time to find more survivors.

The woman was taken from the rubble after 60 hours trapped under the Great Wall hotel collapsed in the city of Mandalay after a 5 -hour operation by Chinese, Russian and local teams, according to an article on Facebook from the Chinese Embassy. He said she was in a stable state early on Monday.

Mandalay is near the epicenter of the 7.7 magnification earthquake which caused mass devastation in Myanmar and damage in neighboring Thailand.

In Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, the emergency teams using cranes and dogs of dogs continued a desperate search for 76 raw people buried under the rubble of a skyscraper under construction which collapsed.

Bangkok Governor Chadchart, Sittipunt, said the rescuers do not give up despite the window of conventional wisdom to find people approaching quickly.

“Research will continue even after 72 hours because in Türkiye, the people who have been trapped for a week have survived. The research was not canceled,” said Chadchart.

He said that the rubble scans indicated that there could still be living people below, and dog sniffers are sent to try to identify their locations.

“We have detected weak life signs and there are many places,” he said.

The number of official deaths in Thailand was 18 years old on Sunday, but could be more rescue on the collapsed construction site.

In Myanmar, the state media said that at least 1,700 people had been confirmed dead. The Wall Street JournalCiting the military junta in power, the number of deaths had reached 2,028 in Myanmar. Reuters could not immediately confirm the new number of deaths. The United Nations said that she was rushing to rescue supplies at 23,000 survivors who affect an earthquake in the center of Myanmar.

“Our Mandalay teams join efforts to increase the humanitarian response despite browsing the trauma themselves,” said Noriko Takagi, the representative of the United Nations Agency in Myanmar. “Time is essence because Myanmar needs solidarity and global support through this immense devastation.”

India, China and Thailand are among the neighbors of Myanmar who have sent rescue equipment and teams, as well as the help and staff of Malaysia, Singapore and Russia.

The United States has promised $ 2 million in aid “through myanmar-based humanitarian assistance organizations”. He said in a statement that an emergency team from USAID, who is undergoing massive cuts under the Trump administration, unfolds in Myanmar.

The devastation of the earthquake has stacued more misery on Myanmar, already in the chaos of a civil war which was born from a national uprising after a military coup in 2021 has ousted the elected government of the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize Aung San Suu Kyi.

A rebellious group said that the military in power of Myanmar always carried out air strikes on the villages in the aftermath of the earthquake, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore called for an immediate ceasefire to help efforts.

Critical infrastructure – including bridges, highways, airports and railways – across the country of 55 million people are damaged, slowing down humanitarian efforts while the conflict that has defeated the economy, moved more than 3.5 million people and weakened the raging health system.
