A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 hit parties of Karachi and its surrounding areas on Monday afternoon, according to a press release from the Met Office.
According to the earthquake monitoring center, the earthquake recorded an amplitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 19 kilometers. The epicenter of the earthquake would have been 75 kilometers north of Karachi.
The tremors felt at 4:11 p.m., many residents presenting themselves on social networks to share their experiences.
However, there was no immediate report of damage or victims of the earthquake.
