The Pakistani Minister of State of the Interior, Talal Chaudhry, has reaffirmed the commitment of the country to improve global cooperation on the effective management of borders.
“Pakistan is committed to strengthening global cooperation on the effective management of borders and to meet the challenges of illegal immigration,” said Chaudhry during a dinner organized by British secretary Yvette Cooper.
Chaudhry is in England to attend a meeting of more than 40 countries and organizations, notably the United States, France and Vietnam, aimed at coordinating global efforts to counter illegal migration and gangs that hold the people who take advantage of it.
Addressing the event, organized in honor of visiting the ministers, he stressed the importance of meeting the challenges posed by illegal immigration in the context of Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen international collaboration on these critical issues.
Chaudhry had discussions with Yvette Cooper on various bilateral questions, focusing on strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
The minister should hold more key meetings with the British interior secretary and the interior ministers in other countries.
The event focuses on subjects such as the effective management of borders, the prevention of illegal immigration and the improvement of bilateral relations.
Expressing his opinions, Chaudhry reiterated that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Minister of the Interior Mohin Naqvi underlined strict measures for border security and immigration control to ensure national stability and security.
