- A redesign of Google photos could be on the way
- A survey shows a new design by focusing on research features
- It also makes memories larger and turns edges of your shots
According to a recent survey leak, Google Photos could be about to obtain a design overhaul, which could facilitate the management of your Snaps library.
The details of a supposed Google investigation were shared with Android Authority by a user on Telegram called @arfus_uwu, who sent a screenshot of two Google photos. One is the current arrangement, and the other an overhaul, which the user is invited to judge according to the way in which he feels modern or obsolete out of 50.
At first glance, the conceptions seem very similar, with only a few minor changes, such as making the image edges more round and making the action buttons from Google Photos a little bigger – the latter which you will appreciate or hate according to the frequency to which you use memories.
However, some more subtle changes could make a difference in the world of experience of Google Photos.
Great changes to come?
First, we can see that the title today has no check next door and shows instead which seems to be a filter icon. This means that instead of being able to quickly select each photo you took that day, you could reduce the shots you see according to the criteria like where they were taken and which is in the photo.
At the bottom, we can also see that the photo collections and the search tabs have been replaced by a floating search bar and an icon that seems led to your collections pages.
All these changes seek to rationalize the process of searching for a specific photo in the least of possible taps and scalabing.
Whether you like or hate the supposed overhaul, don’t forget to take this leak with a pinch of salt. Even if Google conducts investigations, there is a chance that it does not exactly copy the design of the survey in its possible deployment – it probably tests a lot of different factors when requesting opinions.
Even so we, for my part, love the new look. The memories can be smaller, but the easy access search bar and the filter options seem super useful, especially since Google AI improves in intelligent search so that it can locate the precise image that you describe, but cannot spot in your camera bread, regardless of the quantity of scroll.
