Atlanta Braves Voltueur, Jorickson PROFAR, will be suspended for the next 80 games for violating MLB policy on drugs improving performance.
According to MLB’s policy, even after the return of a suspension provar, it will not be eligible to play in the playoffs.
MLB announced the suspension in a press release on Monday.

“The office of the Baseball Commissioner announced today that Atlanta Braves, Jorickson Profar, has received a suspension of 80 games without salary after having tested positive for chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG), a substance improving performance, in violation of the Baseball League Declaration, the drug prevention and treatment program.

The Braves published their own declaration concerning the suspension.
“We were surprised and extremely disappointed to learn that Jorickson PROFAR was tested positive for a substance improving the performance in violation of the prevention and joint treatment program of the Baseball Major League. We fully support the program and hope that Jorickson will learn from this experience,” said the team.

PROFAR was appointed All-Star for the first time in his career in 2024 at the age of 31. He finished the season with career rects on average in the stick at. 280, Home Runs with 24 and RBI with 85. Profar was also struck by the most MLB throws last season with 18.
PROFAR signed an agreement of $ 42 million over three years with the brave in January.
