Washington seems to be the last state that is preparing for a confrontation on its decision to allow organic men to play in the sports of girls and women despite the executive order of President Donald Trump in February.
The representative assembly of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) proposed two amendments to its policies which would maintain the sports of girls to organic women and potentially offer an open division if students-athletes were interested.

The state of Washington is set up for a confrontation on trans athletes in sports for girls and women.
However, the WIAA commutation director Sean Bessette said in a statement at the Seattle Times on Tuesday that the proposals would violate the law of the state.
“The WIAA was informed by the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Office of Civil Rights and the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction which proposed ML / HS # 7 and MS # 8 amendments would constitute a violation in the current law of the state of Washington, affirming the legal examination of our lawyer,” Bessette told the newspaper. “The WIAA remains determined to follow the law of the State, and these changes to the participation of identity between the sexes would not be implemented on August 1 if they were to adopt under the current state law.
“If the state law should change, the WIAA board of directors has the authority and should modify the rules of the association accordingly.”
The proposals will be voted by the assembly of representatives of 53 people, but no modification will be made to the rules. The proposals entitled ML / HS # 7 and ML / HS # 8 are strictly advisory votes only.
“The amendment would not be implemented under the current state law. Participation in the sports of girls would be limited to organic women”, the ML / HS proposal reads on the website of the athletics organization.

“The amendment would not be implemented under the current state law. Sports programs would be offered separately for boys, girls and an open division for all interested students,” read ML / HS # 8.
The Washington State law forces local educational agencies to allow transgender students to participate in interscoad sports “which align themselves most closely with their gender identity”, according to the WIAA.
The Kennewick School Board has filed a complaint in Title IX to the civil rights office of the US Ministry of Education against the public education superintendent of the Washington State, Chris Reykdal, this week. The complaint included a plea for an “urgent” federal intervention against the policies during the state which defy the order of Trump.
Reykdal previously said that it was “inaccurate” to say that there were only two sexes during a video address in late February.
“It is simply inaccurate to say, biologically, that there are only boys and that there are only girls,” said Reykdal. “There is a continuum. There is a science of this. There are children who were born intersexated. There are children whose hormones and whose chromosomes do not comply with their sex at birth.
“Our state laws clearly indicate that children can identify themselves and participate according to the sex in which they identify. We will respect this law.”
Reykdal also insisted in this address that Trump does not have the authority as president to ban trans athletes in girls’ sports, but conceded the US Congress.

Another school district of Washington chose to take matters into their own hands and challenge the government of the state at the end of February.
The Board of Directors of the Tumwater School District voted on February 3-1-1 on February 27 to prohibit Trans athletes from playing for female sports teams after a controversy published nationally involving one of the women’s women’s basketball teams.
