For many, the Nintendo switch was their portable indie machine where they appreciated a multitude of excellent titles no AAA – it was certainly for me. And at the Nintendo Switch 2 direct, the company has honored this heritage with a series of independent announcements, especially that Deltarune will be published on June 5, the launch date of Nintendo Switch 2.
In addition, this version will not only include chapters 1 and 2, but the new chapters 3 and 4 with the two new entries published on the same date.
The long wait has been long for fans to press more Deltarne content from creator Toby Fox. The first chapter made its debut in 2018, and the second released in September 2021, and finally, the wait is almost over.

If you do not plan to recover a Nintendo Switch 2, do not fear. As confirmed in the description of the Deltarune trailer, it also comes to steam, switch, PS4 and PS5 on the same day (June 5).
With chapters 1 to 4, complete fans will always have to wait for the latest version of Chapter 5, which previously said that the “finish line” of the game.
In 2023, chapter 5 was described as “far enough” which aligned itself with the fact that in 2025, it is still not finished.
Given the two years per chapter of about two years, the hope that chapter 5 will be with us will be with us in 2027 – although for the moment, I am honestly happy to sink my teeth in two new chapters in a few months.
