In accordance with the advisory warning of the Authority of the Industry System Authority issued on Wednesday, the Tarbela dam seems to be adjusted to touch its dead level – a minimum level of operation of 1402 feet – early its level was recorded at 1410.59 feet, which was 8.59 feet higher than the dead level.
The water statistics were not so alarming at the Mangla dam. The water level in the Jhelum river in Mangla was 1083.20 feet, 33.20 feet more than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The influx and flow of water have been recorded at 20,000 brackets and 15,200 cuses, respectively.
This means that there is a slight improvement in water entries. Agriculture in the Sindh and Punjab on the shortage of irrigation water in the dams.
The release of water in Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded at 35,700, 22,600, 16,600 and 5,900 Cuses, respectively. Similarly, from River Kabul, a total of 17,900 water records released in Nowshera and 5,200 cuses released from River Chenab in Marala.

Normally, the Tarbela dam is considered the main source of irrigation water for the Sindh. The mangla dam hardly nourishes the province. The Sukkur dam fueling most Sindh lands through its seven main channels. The Guddu and Sukkur dams also provide water in Balutchistan.
The Buddu dam is currently drawing water only for the Ghotki feeder – its left banking channel – while the right bank channel – Desert Pat Feeder – provides 1,900 Baloutchistan Cuses, which also received 500 Cuses for the Kachhi Canal via the Taunsa dam until March 17.
Kotri Barrage had a speed of 5,199 pm, including 1,200 Cuses for Karachi. Some quantum of approximately 200 Cuses was released in Hyderabad and Latifabad for consumption purposes.
