Islamabad:
The government is expected to unveil its national framework for harmonization of 2025 minerals in Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2025 (PMIF25), scheduled from April 8 to 9.
The framework aims to rationalize mining regulations through the provinces, guaranteeing a structured mineral policy adapted to investors to attract national and foreign investments said a press release.
The federal government, in collaboration with the provinces, Azad Jammu and Cashmire (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), designed the framework to create a uniform regulatory structure. It focuses on security, environmental sustainability and effective resource extraction while promoting strategic international partnerships in the mining sector.
The framework was developed thanks to an in -depth consultation with the main stakeholders to ensure inclusiveness and efficiency.
Provincial governments have played an active role in the process. Briefings were provided to chief secretaries and chief ministers to keep them informed and involved in decision -making.
Their contribution was essential to shape the framework to align themselves with regional needs and priorities.
