Balutchistan raises higher priority: PM

Despite the Eid festivities, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held consecutive meetings on Wednesday, discussing the country’s security situation with a particular reference to Balutchistan.

He first met the chief minister of Balutchistan, Sarfaraz Bugti, who informed him of the situation in his province. The Prime Minister also met separately the Minister of the Interior Mohin Naqvi to obtain a briefing on the global security situation.

During his meeting with the chief minister of Balutchistan, the Prime Minister had detailed discussions on the economic, social and law and order situation in Balutchistan. The current development projects, launched by the Balutchistan Federal Government, were also presented in Reunion.

The Prime Minister stressed by providing all the possible support for the development of Balutchistan. He reaffirmed that the development of Balutchistan was among the main priorities of the federal government and all possible measures would be taken in this regard.

Minister of the Interior

Interior Minister Mohin Raza Naqvi called Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday and informed him of national security and current developments in the country.

He also granted Eidul Fitr’s greetings to the Prime Minister and discussed security measures. He also informed the Prime Minister of Progress of the process of repatriating Afghan nationals.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction with regard to the situation of the law and the order, especially during Eid. Questions related to the Interior Ministry were also presented at the meeting.
