- Two new Samsung Galaxy Watch models are on the way
- The Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic surfaced this time in regulatory deposits
- A listed battery is slightly larger than last year’s model, but it is not a massive upgrade
The details of the next Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 range appeared for the second time in a few days, this time with our first index on battery capacity for one of the models.
At the end of March, the firmware of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic was spotted, pointing to four new Galaxy Watch models to come in 2025 – two classic and two regular models, each with a Wi -Fi and LTE version (cell connectivity).
From now on, deposits have been discovered in the Safetykorea certification database in South Korea, one of the countless global regulatory organizations with which apparatus manufacturers must record new products to come, including the best Android smart watches, before being able to be on sale.
As reported by Xpertpick, the batteries that will appear in the new Watch 8 and 8 Classic of Samsung Galaxy Watch seem to have surfaced in the database. The output corresponds to the aforementioned firmware leak, indicating a battery each for the Galaxy Watch 8 and 8 Classic, respectively.
This would reinforce the idea that two new models are on the way, but also gives us a small clue to the battery life.
Galaxy Watch 8 Battery leaks
According to the report, only one of these battery files has a listed capacity, the Galaxy Watch 8. The battery is listed at 435mAh, a very minor bump on the Galaxy Watch 7. Although it is technically Bigger, it is nothing to write at home and will probably give no tangible result in terms of battery life performance.
And if Samsung has added more powerful power features to the new model, the battery life may only correspond to the model from last year, and if this is the case, you can expect the Samsung note of around 22 hours. This is the larger 44 mm model, without any information on the smaller version.
It will certainly not be enough to challenge the best Android watch for the battery life right now, the Watch 3 OnePlus, but he tells us that these two smart currency models exist definitively and will probably be launched at the start of the summer in the United States and the United Kingdom.
The absence of the Ultra 2 galaxy Watch in database lists could indicate that the company will not publish an ultra model this year and could alternate between classic and ultra on an annual basis.
