Islamabad:
Containing membership of the fundamental rights of a cornerstone of any democratic society, the chief judge of Pakistan stressed that fundamental rights should be confirmed at all levels.
The CJP expressed these points of view during a meeting with the president of the association of the Bar of the Supreme Court, Mian Muhammad Rauf Ata.
According to a press release from the SCBA, the head of the bar informed the CJP of the current situation in Baloutchistan, where the fundamental rights guaranteed under the Constitution have indeed ceased to exist. This state of affairs has further deteriorated the situation of public order in the province, leading to generalized disorders, an increase in insurgent activities and road closings which have directly had an impact on the daily life of ordinary citizens.
The president of the SCBA also shared with the CJP the details of the advisory meetings aimed at building a national consensus based on the problems of Balutchistan. He noted that in general, the majority of the political elite should be resided in a democratic approach.
