- Another Google Walmart TV box has been spotted
- It could be the Walmart ONN 4K Plus
- The device has apparently been part of an early test program
We know there are no more google chromecasts on the way – with the Google TV streamer acting as replacing the own Google Smart Home range – and it seems that Walmart has another box of chromecasting in the pipeline.
Following the Walmart ONN 4K Pro, we saw the release of last year, there are now signs of a Walmart ONN 4K Plus on the home tester club (via 9to5google). Several criticisms have been left from the gadget, as well as images of the packaging and its content.
It seems that the device was published early as part of a limited test program, before being properly unveiled by Walmart. The comments on the Walmart ONN 4K Plus seem to be mainly positive, with praise for its simplicity and its low prices.
This price is not specifically mentioned, so we will have to wait for clarity on this subject. The 2024 Walmart ONN 4K Pro costs $ 49.88, while the standard ONN box is only $ 19.88, so it should be between these two points (these gadgets are not available internationally).
Intelligent specifications
There are some advice on the specifications of the Walmart ONN 4K plus criticism and images. In addition to the 4K video release with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos Support, we also have 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of integrated storage.
Regarding the chipset, it is a quad -core chip with a G310 V2 GPU, which, according to team 9TO5GOOGLE, could be the AMLOGIC S905X5M – It is a more recent chip than that found in the 4K pro ONN that Walmart sells.
The pro a 3 GB box of RAM and 32 GB of storage. This new device seems to be more replacing the basic ONN box which was launched in 2023, and is now rather obsolete with 2 GB of RAM and only 8 GB of storage on board.
We have heard nothing officially from Walmart yet, but given that now a month of criticism on the ONN 4K more online, it should not be too long before the streaming gadget was released and available for purchase with Google TV on board.
