- The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could have the same 200MP sensor as its predecessor, but with a new goal
- The phone will also miss a magnetic ring for Qi2 once again
- The S pen and its slot machine will remain supposedly, but a later model could lack a slot machine
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is still far away, but we are starting to hear a lot of things on this, the latest information highlighting the possible camera, load capacities and pen.
All this comes from the Tipster @pandaflashpro (via Notebookcheck), which – in a series of messages on X – shared various details on the phone. According to them, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will again have a 200 megapixel main camera. In fact, he will apparently have exactly the same sensor, but with “updated pixels” and a new goal.
It should therefore make a small upgrade to the main camera, but probably no substantial changes.
I have just received information from the second prototype, and this device also has the same sensor size as HP2, which means that Samsung is trying to reuse HP2 again with updated pixels and a new lens. https://t.co/lkypunmbrnApril 6, 2025
Yes to the pen, no to the magnets
A lack of substantial changes is a theme for this series of leaks, because the same source also says that the pen and its dedicated slot machine will remain, which may not be surprising, but they note that future models may not have a niche for the stylus.
And they also say that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will not have a magnetic ring to be used with Qi2 and magnetic charging accessories. This is the same situation as with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which allows you to use these features but only if you put the phone in a compatible case, the magnets being integrated into the case rather than the phone.
With the possible exception of the abandonment of the slit S Pen in a future model, none of this seems surprising. But we always took it with a pinch of salt, especially since the source does not yet have many stories.
And while the above leaks suggest that little change on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, other aspects could be, with previous leaks pointing to a variable opening camera, a larger battery and a solid performance jump.
