Arriving just in time for the imminent launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, Lexar introduced the first MicroSD Express card in the world 1 TB, one of the most important and fastest microSD cards currently on the market.
The Lexar Play Pro Microsdxc Express offers reading speeds up to 900 MB / s and writing speeds up to 600 MB / s, which makes it well suited to demanding tasks such as accelerated downloads, high -speed data transfers and faster loading times.
The card uses a combination of PCI Express 3.0 and NVME 1.3 interfaces – similar to those found in the best SSD. This considerably reduces latency and increases data transfer speeds, offering the performance of standard microSD cards up to 10 times.
However, MicroSD Express cards are currently only compatible with a limited number of devices, which has so far restricted wider adoption. With the Switch 2 recently announced using this standard exclusively, the industry is optimistic that Microsd Express will become more widely taken care of in future portable devices.
Can I use this card on regular microSD locations?
The Lexar Play Pro Microsdxc Express card is compatible behind with UHS-I and UHS-II host devices, which means that it can always be used in older equipment. However, in such cases, performance will be capped at UHS -I speeds – which is generally about 100 MB / s of reading speed.
The new card is delivered with a limited lifetime warranty, as well as the Lexar recovery tool, which allows users to restore formatted or accidentally deleted files.

The Lexar MicroSD Express card is at $ 199.99 for version 1 TB, $ 99.99 for the 512 GB model and $ 49.99 for the 256 GB variant.
