Boston’s Red Soxs are the subject of the latest behind -the -scenes of Netflix, entitled “The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox”.
One of the interviews carried out during the 2024 season was with a Voltger Jarren Duran, who had a star campaign in small groups. But the interview was quite serious, because he discussed his 2021 and 2022 seasons, which, according to him, fueled his suicide attempt.
Duran was opened on his mental health difficulties with which he was dealt with, because he did not meet his high expectations within the organization to start his career in the big league.

He revealed that he had obtained the point where “I was sitting in my room. I had my rifle, and I had a ball, and I pressed the relaxation, and the pistol clicked, but nothing happened.”
“To this day, I think that God simply did not let me commit suicide because I do not know why it did not go. I took the sign of” I may be here for a reason “, it was then that I started to look at myself in the mirror after the pistol did not dirty,” said Duran in the documents, by ESPN. “I said to myself:” Do I want to be here, or don’t I want to be here? Duran detailed being in a dark place while hearing the fans reprimand him in the outside field during the matches. They shone to go back to Triple-A Worcester, and many other things that only added to what he felt.

“I already heard fans,” he said. “And what they told me, [it was like]’I said to myself 10 times worse in the mirror. It was a really difficult time for me. I didn’t even want to be here anymore. “”
Duran was recruited during the 2021 season, when he reduced .215 / .241 / .336 with a .578 OPS in 33 games. He struck three doubles, two triples and two circuits with 10 points produced that year.
His 2022 campaign was not much better because he struck .221 with three circuits and 17 points produced on 58 games (204 AT-BAT).
However, Duran turned things in 2023, while he reduced .295 / .346 / .482 with 34 doubles, eight circuits and 40 points produced on 102 games for Boston.

He had a year of career in 2024, leading the MLB in double (48), Triplets (14), Bats (671) and plaques appearances (735), while surrounding 21 circuits with 75 products produced.
Duran also made his first career star match, winning the MVP honors after this interest in a Home Run who helped the American League to beat the National League.
There was a certain controversy with Duran last season because MLB suspended two games for having said an anti-gay insult to a fan. He would apologize quickly, saying he was sorry for his actions and that it would work better for his error.
“Jarren’s decision to share his story is an act of courage that goes far beyond baseball,” said the president and chief executive officer of the Red Sox, Sam Kennedy, in a statement, via ESPN. “By opening, he shows others who may have trouble not being alone and that asking for help is not just ok, it’s essential.

So far this season, Duran hits 0.239 (11 for 46) with two doubles, a triple and seven points produced in 10 games.
