The United States is ending the key student exchange program

Pakistan’s World Pakistan World Pakistan World Exchange Program has officially finished after 15 years, the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) confirmed on Tuesday.

The initiative to exchange a semester, which allowed the Pakistani undergraduate students to study in an American university or a college for an unworthy semester, was administered by the USEFP and funded by the US government.

In a press release, the Foundation announced: “We regret informing you that after 15 incredible years, the World First Cycle Exchange Program for Pakistan has ended. The US Department of State has informed USEFP that the UGRAD-PAKISTAN World Program will no longer be offered to this opportunity.”

USEFP described the program as having offered “experiences that have changed life” to thousands of students throughout its race, facilitating school enrichment, cultural exchange and development of leadership.

Launched in 2010, the program aimed to cultivate a spirit of service and leadership among young Pakistani while improving their commitment to their communities.

In his farewell message, Usefp expressed his pride in the transforming role that the exchange had played.

“While this firm chapter, we encourage you to explore other opportunities for exchange and scholarships that can align with your aspirations,” he said.
