The Member States of the European Union (EU) approved the proposal of the European Commission aimed at introducing prices for reprisals against the United States
The executive of the block made the proposal as a counter-measure against the imposition of the United States prices on the imports of EU steel and aluminum.
The tasks will be obtained from April 15 once the law on the implementation published, the committee announced on Wednesday.
“The EU considers unjustified and harmful American prices, causing economic damage to both sides, as well as the global economy,” said the commission in the announcement.
The commission added that its preference is to avoid imposing prices and that they could be suspended at any time if the United States “accept a negotiated and balanced negotiated result”.
