- Pico has just made his debut of size trackers that work like his foot trackers
- It is now available for £ 39.99 (about $ 50 / $ 85 in)
- When we examined the Pico 4 Ultra, its motion trackers were the best feature of the helmet
Pico has just announced an upgrade to its best VR headphone VR feature: a new movement tracker for your size, and again, I am left by wishing that my meta quest 3 could also obtain this upgrade.
When I tested the Pico 4 Ultra last year, its best functionality was the pair of movement trackers that you could buy in addition. These are often included free of charge as part of a package during sales of the VR helmet.
You attach them to your feet and you could provide surprisingly precise follow -up of the feet to the games supported. Combined with hand monitoring, this has led to extremely immersive experiences, because you can interact with your whole body as if you were really in a virtual space.
Now, this simple but efficient solution arrives at a brand new Pico movement tracker for your size. In fact, the device launches today (April 9, 2025) for £ 39.99 (about $ 50 / $ 85 in).
We could not test the tracker for ourselves, but given the impressive foot trackers, we expect the new pico size trackers will also be solid, when used in supported titles such as Vrchat and PCVR titles compatible via the Pico Connect function.
I can see this size tracker be perfect to exercise VR, dance games and allow players to use new VR accessories like a hoop of Hula, but we will have to wait and see how it is implemented.

Meta needs better body follow -up
Meta offers its own basic follow -up of the body via cameras oriented down your helmet, but it is not the most robust solution. The AI on which it relies is good enough to predict where your legs and body should be, but it is not always perfect. In addition, it has not been implemented in many VR applications in the way in which Pico’s sophisticated solution has been.
Although the monitoring of the Pico movement is superb, I am still not convinced that it is the best helmet option for most people.
He does not have the same impressive software catalog that you will find in Meta quests, and it is more expensive than meta quests 3S and Meta Quest 3 without offering a significant performance bump.
Who, associated with it is not available for purchase in all regions, the Meta Quest 3 includes the United States, and that it is a device that has had trouble building a name, except among virtual reality lovers who are heavily anti-meta.
Meta has not yet announced physical movement trackers for Quest – with its CTO drawing the idea last year (via Uplaodvr) – but seriously I hope that it changes. They are easily the best Pico feature, and the meta quest 3 would be much more versatile if it had access to the same tools.
