Lahore:
Railway Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi announced Wednesday that the Punjab government had officially adopted Lahore and Rawalpindi stations in order to improve them according to international standards.
Under the agreement, modern installations, including mechanical stairs, contemporary toilets, waiting areas and other amenities would be introduced, he added.
Addressing the media, Abbasi underlined the government’s commitment to considerably improve the rail system by the end of the current year in collaboration with the administration of public relations.
